CoDeAn was developed with the objective of providing a practical tool for students and engineers seeking to quickly familiarize themselves with fundamental theories in the field of structural mechanics of composite laminates. Its primary focus includes classical laminated plate theory, first-ply failure criteria, and plate buckling analysis. The application features two comprehensive libraries, four analysis modules, and several supplementary functions aimed at enhancing usability and data management.

Libraries:

• Material Library: This library enables users to define various materials or plies by inputting their stiffness and strength properties, effectively creating a database of ply materials for subsequent use.
• Laminate Library: Users can assemble different laminated plates by combining individual plies from the material library in specific sequences, thereby establishing a database of laminated configurations.

Analysis Modules:

1. Laminated Plate Theory: Facilitates rapid retrieval of calculation results based on classical laminated-plate theory, including ABD matrices, compliance matrices, and structural properties of laminates.
2. Strength Check: Allows users to specify external loads on laminates and quickly assess whether the structure fails according to five different failure criteria: maximum stress, maximum strain, Tsai-Hill, Tsai-Wu, and Hashin-Rotem theories.
3. Strength Determination: Users can input load ratios on the laminate; the module then calculates the load-bearing capacity according to various failure theories.
4. Plate Buckling: Enables defining a plate with options to select among eleven predefined boundary condition and load combinations for determining the critical buckling load.

Additional Features:

• In all analysis modules, users can examine detailed result summaries for individual laminates or compare specific values across multiple laminates through interactive bar plots.
• The application offers straightforward options to export results, including saving plots to the photo library or sharing data via email for integration into reports.
